Naar aanleiding van enkele foto’s en video’s gemaakt in verband met mogelijke dierenmishandeling willen ze nu alle fotografen straffen. Zo zou het bijvoorbeeld verboden worden om nog foto’s te nemen van gelijk welke boerderij zonder toestemming van de eigenaar. Voor de zoveelste keer een maatregel die helemaal niet proportioneel is en tegen het absurde aanleunt.
‘In Florida, state senator Jim Norman has introduced the most draconian of anti-photography bills. He wants to make it a felony to photograph any farm–from any location–without the owner’s written consent. If passed as written, the bill would take effect July 1.’

“Mike Evans said he was left “dumbfounded” when he was told by staff if he did not stop taking photographs they would call the anti-terror police.
The 41-year-old, who has osteoporosis of the spine, had been taking snaps of the Mersey estuary by the docks.”
Ik denk dat men ze ginder op dat eiland toch eens duidelijk moet uitleggen waarvoor een fototoestel dient.

As the article states, all citizens have the “freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority”. In an apology of unprecedented frankness, the police not only admitted liability, but went on to comment too on the wider implications of their actions.”
